Coraid® Inc has appointed Peter Godden as the company’s senior director for EMEA. In his new role Peter is responsible for driving a dynamic growth plan across the region to contribute to the overall success of the company, which has grown nearly 10x over the last three years at a time when many vendors in the storage space are experiencing slow sales.
Before joining Coraid, Peter was at Isilon Systems, where he guided the team to a 200% finish above target and a successful acquisition by EMC. Although he qualified in electrical engineering, he has since spent 17 years in storage sales growing talented teams across the UK and EMEA, and helping customers craft solutions to some of the toughest data centre challenges.
Peter explained why Coraid’s technology is a winner, “Customers choosing Coraid’s Ethernet SAN and scale-out architecture benefit from a unique combination: the simplicity of direct-attached storage (DAS), with all performance and enterprise-class resilience of shared storage needed for virtualisation, big data and cloud-computing environments. This translates into a single elastic tier of storage that can support a wide variety of shifting workloads, in contrast to the multiple costly tiers of storage sold by legacy Fibre Channel vendors. The flexibility and simplicity of Coraid’s platform positions us uniquely to address the massive quantity of data, and deliver a compelling value proposition to the channel and end users.”
Coraid’s growth in the USA has been accelerating at an impressive rate and, with Peter on board, the same is anticipated for EMEA. Carl Wright, executive vice president of worldwide sales at Coraid said, “Peter’s expertise in marketing, sales and the channel, coupled with his ability to identify the right people to get the job done, sets him apart from his peers. His skills in developing world-class sales and marketing teams across the region are well known and suited to a high-growth company like Coraid.”
