WinMagic - the prominent innovator in disk encryption, has appointed Iain Airey as Director of its Europe, Middle East and Asia (EMEA) sales team, to expand WinMagic’s customer base in this geography as the organisation continues to prosper. In this role, Airey will be responsible for overseeing sales of WinMagic’s latest network security technology, the establishment of extensive channel activity and the overall growing of WinMagic’s profile throughout the territory.
Airey is an experienced Sales and Business Development Manager, with 13 years of Value Added Reseller, Distribution and Vendor experience. Prior to his appointment at WinMagic Inc, Airey was Head of Sales at Evolution Group – a provider of consulting and solutions for data security and compliance such as PCI and Data protection – where he ran all sales activities across the UK & Europe whilst also assisting Evolution’s operations in Asia. Airey was also responsible for sales of a highly successful managed security service providing some of the UK’s & Europe’s largest retail organisations with solutions for PCI-DSS compliance.
In his previous roles, Airey has been responsible for channel recruitment and direct sales at a number of US start-up technology companies, UK VARs and distributors.

With the issue of data security being heavily discussed in the media surrounding an announcement by the European Union’s Justice Commissioner, Viviane Reding, on the reforms being made to Data Protection Law, enterprises are being made to realise the importance of securing their sensitive data.
Airey’s role at WinMagic will include speaking to those organisations about WinMagic’s SecureDoc with PBConnex, the first full-disk encryption solution with pre-boot networking.
PBConnex fully integrates network support within the pre-boot environment to make it significantly simpler to authenticate users, enforce access controls and manage end-point devices prior to the operating system loading – eliminating the user, deployment and system management headaches previously associated with endpoint encryption.
