The Coraid EMEA channel programme harnesses the expertise of local, best-in-class resellers and consultants so that end-users can benefit from a fully integrated and professional level of service. Through COAL IT, the complete Coraid product portfolio will be offered to a wide variety of City-based organisations. Carl Wright, Executive Vice President of Worldwide Sales at Coraid said, “We saw an excellent correlation between the Coraid ethos of delivering high performance at an excellent price and the aim of COAL IT to deliver the best value for customers using the most appropriate leading technology.”
The partnership is already yielding successful results, with COAL IT recently installing a back-up solution built around Coraid EtherDrive SAN storage for an international shipping organisation to provide a simple, scalable data protection strategy at a cost that allowed virtualisation and Disaster Recovery to be implemented concurrently.
Mick Cooper, Head of Services and Solutions Sales at COAL IT, explained why partnering with Coraid is good for business, “With the demand for big data set to continue, Coraid EtherDrive products provides a unique and exciting proposition for our customers. We have a wealth of experience in delivering complex infrastructure solutions and guide our customers through best practice and compliance issues. To provide this level of service, we look for vendors that can give us excellent technical and marketing support, as well as unbeatable technology and personal relationships. Coraid meets our criteria on all counts. We’re convinced that COAL IT customers can only gain from this partnership agreement.”
Coraid EtherDrive storage arrays deliver faster performance than Fibre Channel at about one fifth of the cost, and are backed by a management team that is committed to EMEA expansion through its partnership programme and strategic product development. This year Coraid unveiled its Etherflash solution which delivers extreme performance of nearly 200,000 IOPS per shelf using standard solid state drives (SSDs). In contrast to flash-only storage arrays, Coraid gives enterprise customers total flexibility to mix and match SSD, SAS, and SATA drives to meet a wide variety of workload requirements. In addition, the company added $50 million in recent funding to drive expansion plans.
